Tennessee is our home and the people who live here should have the power to shape what happens here.
Tennessee is our home and the people who live here should have the power to shape what happens here.
This election comes at a critical moment.
In May, Tennessee's supermajority voted in a special legislative session to redraw congressional districts in an attempt to cement single-party rule and reduce the political power of Black Memphians and communities across this state.
They moved fast because they are afraid of what happens when Tennessee voters are organized, informed, and ready. The people behind these maps want voters to feel like the outcome has already been decided.
But Tennesseans have never needed perfect conditions to organize.
From Memphis and Nashville to Chattanooga and across the South, people have built power under pressure before.
We are those people.
